Yanni (Nina) was an intern in my UX team at Microsoft China Innovation Group (CIG). As her mentor/manager, I worked closely with her on daily basis. During the six months with CIG, Nina demonstrated great potential in conducting effective studies independently to understand user needs and explore user experience trends. As a novice intern, she picked up necessary skills quickly and became involved in each phase of the UX work on our project. She delivered high quality results for her work and always strove for the best by doing more than required.

I saw Nina's great strengths include (but not limited to):
- learning quickly. She was always willing to reach out to the areas unknown, which I believe is a key competence of an excellent researcher;
- self-motivated. Nina was passionate about every new assignment I gave her and she sought feedback and suggestions for improvement proactively during the whole internship.
- super team player.
- outstanding communication skills.

All in all, I regard Nina as one of the best interns I have worked with.
